Dalton woman wins $80,000 in lottery instant game

A Dalton, Ga., mother of two has won the $80,000 top prize in the Georgia Lottery’s instant game Orange Doubler Cashword, a news release states.

Ana Mares, 24, claimed her prize recently at the lottery’s district office in Dalton.

“We just went into the store after visiting my in-laws,” Mares recalled. “My husband got one for each of us.”

She scratched her ticket at home, the release from the lottery states.

“I went over it several times,” Mares said. “I couldn’t believe it!”

The Mares said they have no immediate plans for the winnings.

The winning ticket was sold by ABC Convenience Store, 1135 Resaca Lafayette Road N.W., in Resaca, Ga
