FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Westmont women’s basketball team had a big 13-2 second-half run to pull away from Lee University and claim the NAIA Division I national championship 71-65.
Hollie German led the Lady Flames (34-3) with 27 points, while Jenna Adams had 19 points and seven rebounds.
Tugce Canitez and Kelsie Sampson each finished with 25 points for the Lady Warriors (30-4), with Canitez added 20 rebounds and three assists. Esther Lee added 12 points.
