CHATTANOOGA, TN -- Tennessee is now one of the top most expensive places to stay in a hospital.
The state ranks at number 3 in the nation. The data, reported by the Tennessean, is from researchers at "America's Health Insurance Plans," which uses prices from 2008 through 2010.
The average annual inpatient hospital cost rose 8.8% for Tennessee patients who were covered by commercial policies.
