West Georgia Tech came to Cleveland State and chilled the Cougars 7-0 in junior college baseball Tuesday, as Beau Welborn had four hits and singled in two runs behind Tyler Banks' six-hit pitching for nine innings.

The teams were scheduled to play two games but made a concession to the weather.

The Golden Knights (15-15) took advantage of the conditions better than the host Cougars but left 13 runners on base. They had 10 bases on balls to go with eight hits and turned four double plays behind Banks.

Jared Davis had three hits for Cleveland State (16-12), which visits Volunteer State for a three-game TCCAA series Thursday and Friday.

Chattanooga State postponed its scheduled doubleheader against Bryan's junior varsity, and Covenant canceled its visit from Maryville.
