Man shot on Workman Road in Chattanooga

Chattanooga police believe a man who was shot in the foot Wednesday on Workman Road was targeted, according to a news release.

While police said they believe the man was targeted, they also point out there is no evidence that it was gang-related.

Police said they interviewed Brandon Banks, 21, at a local hospital shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Banks told detectives that he was walking along the 400 block of Workman Road earlier that day when he was shot by someone who drove off in a red truck.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the release.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
