TBI arrests Top Ten state fugitive in Indiana

A Tennessee fugitive arrested Wednesday in Evansville, Ind., has been removed from the state's Top Ten Most Wanted list, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation .

Danyon "Dan Dan" Lyndel Dowlen, 39, was arrested in a home by a team of agents from the U.S. Marshals Services' Evansville office, a news release states.

He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail in Evansville pending extradition to Tennessee.

Dowlen was placed on the TBI's Top Ten Most Wanted list for felony possession of a weapon and homicide by the Clarksville Police Department and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

Weapons belonging to him were found at the Indiana residence, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobaccos, Firearms and Explosives is pursuing federal weapons charges in addition to the original Tennessee charges.
