Chattanooga Police take 2 into custody after assault on Howell Avenue residence

Chattanooga police responded to an assault at a Howell Avenue residence early this morning, according to a news release.

When officers arrived at 4304 Howell Ave., they found two adult victims had exited the residence.

The victims told police there were two male suspects still inside the house, armed with a handgun.

Police officers surrounded the house and attempted to make contact with the suspects. The suspects would not answer.

Officers made entry into the residence and took the suspects into custody, the release said.

Officers have arrest two men in connection to the assault. They have been identified as Tyler Bruce, 21, and Joshua White, 22. Bruce has been charged with aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm. White has been charged with aggravated assault.
