To conclude this year's Girl Scout cookie-selling season, chefs from Chattanooga-area restaurants and bakeries will compete in a new event offering sweet treats and libations, Cookies & Cocktails.

Cookies & Cocktails will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Lindsay Street Hall, 906 Lindsay St. Registration is due by Monday, May 6.

Urban Stack, Porter's Steakhouse, Broad Street Grille, FoodWorks, Famous Nater's, Dish T'Pass and Farm to Fork are set to participate.

Their challenge? Create an appetizer or dessert taste sampling using Girl Scout cookies as an ingredient.

The evening will include live music by classical guitarist Tim West and a chance to learn more about the benefits of the Girl Scout cookie program.

Local media personalities and UTC football head coach Russ Huesman will judge the creations and name the winner of the Cookie Crown.

Tickets are $50, and attendees must be at least 21 years old. All proceeds benefit Girl Scouts within the local area.
