Hamilton County PTAs, students and a teacher honored at Tennessee PTA banquet

photo The Hamilton County PTA, which won seven awards, at the Tennessee PTA Annual Convention in Nashville. Mary Jo Clark, Lee Ann Hammer, David Hampton, Badiema Waldrep (President), Katherine Smith, Sherrie Ford, Dwight Hunter, Cindy Dearing, Gail Phillips and Scottie Summerlin.

PTAs, students and a teacher from the Hamilton County went home with awards from the Tennessee PTA Annual Awards Banquet held on Saturday, April 27 in Nashville.

Nolan Elementary PTA won 14 awards, Hamilton County Council of PTAs won seven awards, Thrasher Elementary PTA won five awards, and Sale Creek Middle High PTA won four awards.

Veronica McCuiston of North Hamilton County Elementary was awarded Tennessee PTA Outstanding Teacher of the Year.

Nolan Elementary was awarded Tennessee PTA Outstanding Elementary Local Unit of the Year.

Hamilton County PTA won the following awards

• Tennessee PTA Council Award of Merit
