The Isaacs to sing for Evening Shade

The Isaacs, an award-winning family bluegrass/gospel group, will perform Friday, May 17, in the Evening Shade Concerts in the Park series in Cleveland, Tenn.

The group will have the full performance time with no opening act. Music starts at 6:30 p.m. in Johnston Park (from I-75 Exit 25, go east on Highway 60/25th Street for one mile and turn right on Ocoee Street).

The Isaacs, based in LaFollette, Tenn., are featured regularly in the Gaither Homecoming series and at the Grand Ole Opry.

Vocalist Lily Fishman Isaacs is the matriarch of the group. She is joined by her children, Sonya Isaacs (vocals, mandolin), Rebecca Isaacs Bowman (vocals, guitar) and Ben Isaacs (vocals, upright bass). Rebecca's husband, John Bowman, also sings and plays guitar, banjo and fiddle.

Admission is free. Picnics are welcome. Seating is bring your own.
