Man stabbed to death on 20th Street in Chattanooga

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death late Friday after arguing with another man, police said Saturday.

Police were called to 101 E. 20th St. about 11 p.m., where they found Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walk with a stab wound in his chest, according to a news release.

Detectives questioned William Morris, 66, who told him he had argued with Lewis and stabbed him, the release stated.

Morris has been charged with criminal homicide.
