Two arrested in Skyline, Ala., on drug charges

Members of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit arrested two men Wednesday at a residence on Alabama Highway 79 in Skyline, Ala., on drug charges, a news release states.

During a search of the home agents found and seized synthetic cannabinoids, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Some of the synthetic cannabinoids appeared have been sprayed on regular pipe tobacco, authorities said.

Arrested was James Robert Sherrell, 29, of Scottsboro, Ala., who was charged with possession of controlled substances (synthetic cannabinoids) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is being held in the Jackson County Jail, and no bond has been set.

Also arrested was Richard Adam Kimbrough, 19, of Skyline, Ala.

Kimbrough was charged with possession of marijuana 2nd degree and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released from the Jackson County Jail on $1,000 bond.
