A budget of nearly $93 million for the 2014 fiscal year was approved Thursday during the quarterly meeting of the University of Georgia Athletic Association Board of Directors.

The meeting was held on St. Simons Island.

There will be $1.25 million in Sanford Stadium projects, including closed-captioning boards on the north and south sides, ticket scanning equipment and an upgrade to the champions club. The school announced that ticket scanning will be implemented this season for every ticket holder entering the stadium.

Other upcoming projects include resurfacing the Woodruff football practice fields, upgrading Stegeman Coliseum's training room and resurfacing courts at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex, which will host the 2014 NCAA championships.

Georgia's athletic association will return $4 million to the university.
