Thomas Zirbel wins men's cycling time trials national championship in Chattanooga

Thomas Zirbel rode a spectacular time trial on Saturday a the USA Cycling Professional Time Trial Championship, winning the national title with a time of 38:16 over the 19-mile course at the Chattanooga Volkswagen plant.

Zirbel, who races for the Optium presented by Kelly Benefit Strategies team, finished 17 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Brent Bookwalter of BMC Racing, while Bontrager's Nathan Brown was third, 41 seconds behind the winner.
