The Chattanooga City Council approved Wade Hinton as city attorney tonight but not without one councilman saying he is leery of the choice.

The council voted 8-1, but Council Vice Chairman Chip Henderson voted no.

"He has an impressive resume, but his lack of municipal experience bothers me," Henderson said.

Hinton comes to the city attorney position from Volkswagen Group of America, where he served as counsel for four years.

The council also unanimously approved Donna Williams as administrator of the Department of Economic and Community Development and Daisy Madison as finance director.
