A company under fire from the Chattanooga City Council for its contract to provide a wireless network to the city has a few more weeks to explain its position.
Chris Anderson, chairman of the Economic & Development Committee, announced today his committee would postpone discussion about Excalibur Integrated Systems Inc.
Rodger Dale Jenkins, owner of the company, list of answers to questions to the council on Friday.
Anderson said he would wait a few more weeks to talk about the company contract as the council digests the list of answers to questions provided and can come back with follow up questions.
Council members have expressed concern about the cost of the contract. The city has paid $6.9 million to the company so far for a two-mile swath of wireless network.
