14-year-old shot in Chattanooga

A 14-year-old boy was shot early this morning in Chattanooga, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Police responded to the 2200 block of E 25th Street Court around 12:06 a.m. where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen. He was transported to a local hospital and his injury was reportedly nonlife-threatening.

Police said the victim was reportedly standing outside when the suspect shot him and fled the scene.
