University of Tennessee official charged in child pornography case
KNOXVILLE - A federal grand jury in Knoxville has indicted an officer of the University of Tennessee Foundation on child pornography charges.
The Knoxville News Sentinel reported that a four-count indictment against Bruce O. Downsbrough, chief operating officer and executive vice president of the foundation, was unsealed Tuesday. The foundation is UT's fundraising arm.
Downsbrough is charged with downloading images in 2008, 2009 and 2012. He was arrested Tuesday.
Documents reveal federal authorities searched his home in November and found 19 digital video discs and images on his computer hard drive.
Downsbrough has been on administrative leave from the foundation.

DALTON, Ga. - Dalton police and firefighters responded Wednesday afternoon to an armed robbery in progress at the Dalton Drug Pharmacy, a news release states.
A man walked into the store at 2709 Airport Road and demanded pain pills, according to police. An employee refused, and the man threw gasoline from a small drink bottle he was carrying onto the worker.
The robber then grabbed a bottle of hydrocodone and ran from the store.
Officers and firefighters evacuated the pharmacy and the neighboring Med Now clinic, but employees returned after firefighters determined there was no danger, the release states.
No one was injured, and no arrest has been reported.
TBI captures escaped inmate
GEORGETOWN, Tenn. - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday announced the capture of a man who fled from the Meigs County Jail.
Christopher Eric Millsaps, 28, of Georgetown, escaped Sunday night, TBI officials said. He was in jail on felony methamphetamine manufacturing charges, authorities said.
"Through the assistance of a cooperating citizen, TBI was able to make contact with Millsaps while he was on the run, and he agreed to turn himself in to TBI agents," agency spokeswoman Kristin Helm said Wednesday.
Millsaps was taken into custody at the Save-A-Lot grocery store on Highway 58 in Georgetown and charged with escape, Helm said.
TennCare fraud arrests at 1,700
NASHVILLE - The TennCare Office of Inspector General says there have been more than 1,700 arrests for fraud against the state health care system since 2005.
The inspector general's office, which is separate from TennCare, has investigated cases leading to more than $3.5 million in restitution paid to TennCare.
