The Jackson County Sheriff's Office has reported the arrest of five people on drug charges in Section, Ala.

The arrests came after the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Margaret Avenue in Section where, according to a news release, about a pound of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and assorted unprescribed prescription drugs were seized.

The Section residents arrested and their charges include: Larry Patrick Morton, 37, unlawful possession of marijuana second degree; Marsheina Hall, 36, unlawful possession of marijuana second degree, unlawful possession of control substances hydrocodone and unlawful possession of controlled substances clonazepam; Dennis Lamar Adams, 44, unlawful possession of marijuana second degree; Ryan Travis Rodriguez, 39, unlawful possession of marijuana second degree; and Vernon Nye Martin, 43, unlawful possession of marijuana first degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The five defendants were placed in the Jackson County Jail.
