The Walker County Sheriff's Office says Marcus Eugene Sutton killed 23-year-old Anderson Trammel Watts on Wednesday night. Sutton, 20, remains at large.

The Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Sutton on a murder charge around 3 p.m. today. Sheriff Steve Wilson said his department is working with the U.S. Marshal's Office, Chattanooga police, and other law enforcement agencies in Catoosa and Walker County to find Sutton.

"We consider him armed and extremely dangerous," Wilson said.

The sheriff does not have a listed address for Sutton, who was released from Ware State Prison on Aug. 14 after serving time because of an aggravated assault charge. In addition to Wednesday's killing, the Sheriff's Office believes Sutton was involved in a drive-by shooting in Rossville two weeks ago.

Since his release, Wilson said, Sutton has moved from house to house in Chattanooga and Rossville. At this time, they don't know where he is.

On Thursday, the Sheriff's Office classified Sutton as a "potential witness." Since then, though, investigators have learned enough about the case to prove that Sutton killed Watts, Wilson said. The sheriff would not elaborate today.
