Covenant College achieved its third consecutive 20-win season in volleyball with a 3-2 victory over Oglethorpe in Atlanta on Tuesday. The Lady Scots, who are seeded third from the South Division going into the USA South tournament with a 3 p.m. match Friday against Meredith, slipped past the Stormy Petrels 28-26, 21-25, 25-22, 14-25, 15-11 as Stephanie Kirkpatrick had 51 assists and 23 digs, Hanna Rogers had 18 kills and Chelsea VanDyk and Cora Schroeder added 14 and 13. VanDyk had five block solos and three block assists for the Lady Scots (20-10), and Schroeder had 21 digs to go with the 20 for Estes Carlson and 17 for Anna Swain.
• Paula Martins floored 18 kills as Lee University beat visiting West Georgia 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-19) in Gulf South Conference volleyball Tuesday night. Camil Martinez had 31 assist and nine digs, Latrice Johnson made 10 kills and Libby Peigen had 12 digs for the winning Lady Flames (13-6, 9-4).
• The Bryan College women's soccer season ended Tuesday with a 4-0 loss at Union College in Barbourville, Ky., in an Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament game, leaving the 10th-seeded Lady Lions 6-11-1. Aline Dalmedico took 13 shots, eight of them on goal, and scored three times for the seventh-seeded Lady Bulldogs (7-10). She had the assist on the first goal. Union peppered Bryan's defense and goalkeeper Stephanie Gagnon with 22 shots while the Lady Lions were taking four, and she made 10 saves after being the AAC defensive player of the week for the last week of the regular season.
• The Chattanooga Cyclones K baseball team ended its fall season at 21-5-2 by going 2-0 in the rain-shortened South Carolina Diamond Devils Fall Wood Bat Classic this past weekend in Charleston. The Cyclones beat the Devils 17s 8-3 with Trevor Mercer contributing a two-run hit and a run scored, Seth Hickman scoring twice and Alex Barbree saving a win for Ricky Vaughn. Cade Evans had three hits and two runs in a 6-2 defeat of the Low Country Lightening, when Noah Hill had a two-run double and Nic Gaddis got the pitching win with relief from Palmer Steventon.
