Fires at homes in Ringgold, LaFayette ruled as intentionally set

Recent fires at homes in Ringgold, Ga., and LaFayette, Ga., have been ruled by Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens as intentionally set.

The fire at the house at 941 Houston Valley Road in Ringgold caused a loss estimated at $100,000. The one at the home at 1616 Old Trion Highway in LaFayette led to a loss of about $20,000.

Hudgens asked anyone with information on the fires to call his arson hotline at 1-800-282-5804.
