Cancer patient sends thanks

It is with the deepest and most humbling gratitude I wish to thank all of our loving friends, employees, community supporters, and even strangers, who donated blood on my behalf. I am battling a serious gastro-stomach cancer, and recently I experienced a life-threatening bleed that required close to 24 units of blood in a very short order. Erlanger interventional radiologist Dr. Steven Quarford and trauma surgeon Dr. Donald Barker and their amazing teams saved my life, and it is because of their skill and determination that I am here today.

As I awake every day with another day to live and work toward eliminating this cancer, I feel this outpouring of love and support, and I am overwhelmed. The people and opportunities for good that come into our lives are truly heaven sent and provide the truest medicine, blessings and miracles in this journey.
