Man allegedly burns down house his ex-wife planned to buy

Investigators believe an arson Thursday night is the result of a man threatening to burn down the house his ex-wife was planned to buy.

McMinn County Sheriff's deputies were responding to an Etowah home that was ablaze when David White, reportedly drunk, came from behind the house, shortly after the fire started.

Police say White's ex-wife had recently begun the process of buying the house and noted white "had been making threats to burn the house down for several weeks."
