BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — In late August Bradley County mom Tasha Bates was convicted of first degree murder and aggravated child neglect in connection to the deaths of her children, River, 3, and Leland, 5. On Monday she will appear before the judge to be sentenced.

The 12 member jury only took a couple of hours to deliberate before it found Bates guilty after a three day long trial.

For prosecutors justice was served. "I think they rendered the correct verdict. The evidence was there," Assistant District Attorney Stephen Hatchett told Channel 3 after the trial.
