Members of two local radio-control clubs will join forces Saturday, Nov. 30, for a swap meet at Chester Frost Park.

"This promises to be a great opportunity for folks interested in any form of radio control - planes, boats and cars - to get into the sport for a minimal investment," says Paul Wright, news editor for the Chattanooga RC Club, a co-sponsor with the Falling Water RC Club.

He expects "upwards of 75 tables loaded down with bargains."

"It's a great opportunity for newcomers and those who are just curious about the sport to check out the airplanes, helicopters, cars and boats, as well as radios, motors and other assorted tools and gadgets that radio-control buffs accumulate," he says. "It's not unusual for someone to get fully equipped with a pre-owned plane and radio for about $200."

Novices will even be provided a shopping assistant, if they wish, for help in making their selections.

The swap meet will take place in the pavilion at the back of the park. Signs will be posted.

Limited food concessions will be available.
