The Georgia Lottery has announced that Laura Mullis, 71, of Chickamauga, recently won a $142,908 jackpot prize in the Fantasy 5 of the Oct. 4 Georgia Lottery drawing.

She matched all five winning numbers — 2-12-20-22-28 — and claimed her prize at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Dalton, Ga. Her ticket was bought at the Kangaroo Express at 209 Lee and Gordon Mill Road in Chickamauga.

Mullis also won a Georgia Lottery prize 13 years ago that amounted to $49,255. She used that money to buy a new truck, pay off her home mortgage and retire from working in customer service.

In 2006 she won a $1,000 Georgia Lottery prize.

Mullis, the mother of two adult daughters, said in a release she hasn't decided what to do with the winnings this time.

“I may do a bit of investing,” she said.
