Police: Dalton, Ga., man pointed loaded gun at another driver during stoplight

Police said a Dalton, Ga., man pulled out a loaded Glock 19 and pointed it at another driver during an argument at a stoplight.

According to an arrest report, Arnold Ruiz was driving south on Thornton Avenue on Wednesday night when Terry Lynn Underwood began to tailgate him. Later, with both cars parked, Ruiz and Underwood lowered their windows.

"I have something for you," Ruiz recalls Underwood telling him.

Then, according to the report, Underwood whipped out the 9 mm pistol and aimed it at Ruiz. Ruiz then asked his brother, who was in a separate car one lane over, to call the police.

Dalton Police Department officers were able to track down Underwood, 56, of 1700 Water Oak Drive. After speaking with Ruiz and Ruiz's brother, officers charged Underwood with aggravated assault with a firearm.
