Two injured in drive-by shooting in East Ridge

Two people were injured early this morning after another vehicle pulled alongside the Suburban they were driving on Ringgold Road and began shooting at them, according to a police report.

East Ridge Police say the incident happened just before 3 a.m. near the intersection of Ringgold Road and Moore Road.

Police found the victims, Keone Scaife and Cardarius Ringer, in the parking lot of a nearby Waffle House Restaurant. Their injuries were not considered to be life threatening, and they were taken to Erlanger for treatment, according to the release.

The victims said they were traveling east at the intersection near Moore Road when a late model, light grey or silver Chevy Impala or Malibu pulled alongside of them and started shooting. At least two black men were inside, according to the report.

Two Regions Bank windows were also damaged by the shooting, police said.

The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 423-622-1725.
