Georgia man sentenced to life after eighth felony

MARIETTA, Ga. - Cobb County prosecutors say a 32-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole after being convicted for his eighth felony.

District Attorney's spokeswoman Kim Isaza told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Nkoma Morgan was found guilty last week of armed robbery, aggravated battery, burglary, drug offenses and weapons charges.

Authorities say Morgan assaulted and robbed a tree service employee at the company's office in April 2011.

Isaza says Morgan is already serving a 10-year sentence for drug charges in Douglas County.
