BRUNSWICK, Ga. - A coastal Georgia man faces a possible death sentence as he stands trial in the deaths of his father and seven family members that were killed in a mobile home they shared.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys are scheduled to seat a jury in Brunswick today to hear the case against 26-year-old Guy Heinze Jr., who cried "My whole family is dead!" during a 911 call after the 2009 slayings.

Heinze has pleaded not guilty. All of the victims were clubbed to death. Police and prosecutors say Heinze acted alone, but have never explained how he could have killed so many people with no one escaping.

Superior Court Judge Stephen Scarlett plans to sequester the jury during the trial, which is expected to last at least two weeks.
