ATLANTA — Fire damaged a small grocery store on Atlanta's northwest side, causing smoke damage to some nearby businesses.
CBS Atlanta reports that firefighters responded to the blaze shortly after 11 p.m. near West Lake Avenue and North Avenue.
Atlanta Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Stephen Hill said crews initially had a hard time entering the building, which was secured with iron gates.
No one was injured in the fire. It appears to have started on the first floor of the two-story building. A martial arts studio in the same building sustained smoke damage.
