Man reportedly falls 70 feet from tree in Soddy-Daisy

A man chasing a mountain lion up a tree in Soddy-Daisy fell 70 feet, according to local officials.

Soddy-Daisy police, firefighters and rescue crews responded to the man Tuesday night.

Crews were dispatched at 9:17 p.m. after a call came in that a man fell and sustained injury in the steep terrain woods near Ward Road.

Police were unable to verify Tuesday night if the man was climbing the tree for fun or using it as a hunting stand.
