DOTHAN, Ala. - Two Atlanta residents have pleaded guilty to trying to steal an ATM from a Regions Bank branch in Dothan, Ala.

Officials say 32-year-old Devin Rashad Terry and 34-year-old Shayla Thompson pleaded guilty to theft of property and attempted theft of property this week in Houston County Circuit Court.

The Dothan Eagle reports the two were arrested in mid-January and two of their accomplices have yet to go to trial.

Authorities have said they responded to the bank after its alarm sounded and saw an overturned ATM and stolen forklift on the scene.

Investigators have said the suspects fled in a stolen truck and were arrested soon afterward.
