Discover the Dinosaurs in Chattanooga

The Beach Boys prepare for an upcoming tour in honor of their 50th anniversary as a group.

Area residents can be transported back to the Mesozoic era this weekend as Discover the Dinosaurs returns to the Chattanooga Convention Center, 1 Carter Plaza.

Up to 60 moving and static dinosaurs, as well as dinosaur skeletons and fossils will be on display in the exhibit, with scenes designed for authenticity using lighting, sound effects, animatronics and fog.

In addition to the displays, special activities for children include a dino dig, movies, inflatables, mini golf, panning for gems and rides on the back of an animated T-rex or triceratops.

Admission is $17 for ages 13 and older, $15 seniors 65 and older. Children 2-12 pay $12 for the exhibit only, or $20 for an exhibit-plus ticket, which includes several other activities.

Hours are noon-9 p.m. today, Oct. 25; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26; and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.
