Six people have been arrested in a drug bust that netted more than $200,000 worth of meth.

Whitfield County Sheriff's officials attempted to stop a 2003 GMC Envoy on Highway 41 on Oct. 24. Authorities say the driver, Kerri Nichols, refused to stop and a chase ensued into Gordon County.

During the chase, authorities say meth was repeatedly thrown from the vehicle.

The vehicle was forced to a stop in Gordon County and Nichols and Michael Finnegan were arrested and $11,000 was seized.

When it was determined some dealers were supposed to make a meth delivery in the area the next day, a covert operation was initiated.

Suspects arrived in Dalton and met with an individual in the parking lot of the Trade Center to sell meth, according to the sheriff's office.

While the transaction was taking place, officers moved in and arrested the four individuals. One subject, Alejandro Zamora-Gonzalez, attempted to flee on foot but was caught after a short foot chase. Meth was recovered from the suspect, as well as $5,000.

The meth recovered was discovered in a Frosted Flakes cereal box that had been opened and resealed. The box was in a sack with other groceries.
