The Chattanooga Transportation Department has announced some roads will be closed in the near future for special events.
— Riverfront Parkway from Aquarium Way to Molly Street, Chestnut Street from Aquarium Way to Riverfront Parkway, Power Alley from Aquarium Way to Riverfront Parkway and the southbound Veterans Bridge exit ramp will be closed beginning Wednesday at 9 p.m. and continuing until 8 p.m. on Sunday for the Head of the Hooch. Northbound Riverfront Parkway will be closed to through traffic at M.L. King Boulevard.
— The 2000 block of Duncan Avenue, between Beech and Willow streets, will be closed Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. for a Community Halloween Block party.
— Wilson Street from Bonny Oaks Drive to Lightfoot Mill Road will be closed each evening beginning Thursday and continuing through Saturdays. The hours it will be closed are 6 to 10 p.m. The closing is due to the Oakwood Baptist Church Judgment House.
— The 500 block of Graham Street, from Crewdson Street to Normal Avenue, will be closed Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. for the Graham Street Halloween Block Party.
— M.L. King Boulevard between Broad Street and Georgia Avenue and Market Street between East Eighth and East 10th streets will be closed Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. for SWAP, sponsored by Heil Environmental.
— Reggie White Boulevard, between West 19th Street and the entrance to the Skate Park, and Chestnut Street between West 19th and West 17th streets will be closed Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. for the USSBA Southern States Band Competition. West 17th Street between Broad and Chestnut streets will be closed to through traffic. The curb and inside lanes of eastbound and westbound 20th Street will be closed for bus parking.
— Reggie White Boulevard, between West 19th Street and the entrance to the Skate Park will be closed Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the Chattanooga Market.
