MADISON, Ala. - A north Alabama woman is charged with murder after her infant child was found dead in a bathtub.
Authorities say 27-year-old Desiree Dawn Childers of Madison was arrested Tuesday, and more charges are possible.
The woman is jailed without bond in Huntsville.
Police and paramedics went to a home on Friday on a medical call involving an infant who had possibly drowned in a bathtub.
Paramedics couldn't revive the infant, and the child was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police aren't releasing details on the case, including the name and gender of the child.
Court records aren't yet available to show whether Childers has a lawyer.
