Volunteers with the Dallas Bay Fire Department are hoping to move some merchandise Saturday, Sept. 7, at a yard sale benefiting the department's Christmas for Kids Fund. To do so, they're pricing most everything at 25 cents.
"You will not believe what a quarter will buy," organizers said in a news release.
The department also had a spring sale, but organizers said they've "collected a ton of more stuff through some very generous donations."
The sale will last from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Station No. 2, 1950 McConnell School Lane, just off Hixson Pike.
Monetary donations are also welcome for the Christmas for Kids program, which serves children in the Dallas Bay/Middle Valley areas. Merchandise donations may be dropped off at the fire station today or Friday, Sept. 5-6.
