Christy Wright, a professional life coach, teacher and popular speaker with the company founded by financial-peace guru Dave Ramsey, will speak on "Financial Fitness" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12. The free program is open to the public and will be held in Frierson Theatre at Girls Preparatory School, 205 Island Ave.

Wright serves as Ramsey's youth products manager, developing new products to teach youth and teens about managing money. Her topics will include finding life balance, making your money work for you, showing your money who is boss, taking charge of your dreams and living from your values.

Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace: School Curriculum will be used in GPS' grades 8-11 advisories for the next few years to introduce students to financial information, according to a school news release. Wright also will address GPS students and faculty while in town Sept. 12.
