A Ford pickup truck reveals a dented hood on Bonny Oaks Drive.Chattanoogan Michael L. Godwin, 50, has been identified by the Chattanooga Police Department as the man who was hit by a truck and killed in the 3900 block of Bonny Oaks Drive around 6:40 this morning.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he died as a result of his injuries, according to the release.
Witness statements and evidence show the victim was running across the road and a truck tried to swerve to avoid the collision.
The police department said in a release that no charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is still ongoing.
