Whether your home needs a touch-up or a do-over, the 2013 Home & Remodeling Expo should provide some inspiration.

It already has big names (Eric Stromer, Johnny Majors) and buzzwords (flea-market finds, holiday decor) sure to draw interest.

Presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chattanooga, the expo will take place Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 14-15, at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

Stromer is familiar to television viewers as the host of HGTV's "Over Your Head," which specializes in renovation rescues. He also had carpentry stints on TLC's "Clean Sweep" and "Trading Spaces," has recorded a country music album, "Fix It Man," has written a book, "Do-It-Yourself Family," and was named one of People magazine's Sexiest Men Alive. The design guru will be at the expo all day Saturday and will do live talks at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Majors, former head football coach of the UT Vols, will be at the expo on Sunday.

Exhibitors will have an array of products and services, ranging from new home construction to fall fix-ups, whole-house renovations, landscaping, gardening, interior design and holiday decorating. Visitors can see the latest in remodeling trends and even bring plans for a consultation with one of the professionals on-site.

In addition to shopping the vendor booths, visitors can bid in a silent auction called Designer Faces for Special Spaces. Local designers have transformed six flea-market finds into beautiful pieces of furniture. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Special Spaces, which will give a child with a life-threatening illness a dream bedroom.

Pinterest holiday decorations made by local designers, including representatives from The Barn Nursery, will be showcased at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and at 1 and 3 p.m. Sunday. You can pin your favorite holiday design to the site before the expo for a chance to win four tickets and a free two-hour home consultation with Kimberly Lemmon of The Green Room Interiors.

Tickets are $6, but those who bring a canned good to donate to the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home will receive a $1 discount on admission.
