JONESBORO, Ga. — State and federal agents and local police are continuing to search for a 14-year-old girl abducted during a home invasion south of Atlanta.

The FBI and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are assisting Clayton County police in the massive search for Ayvani Perez and the two suspects police say snatched her from her home around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Clayton County police say two men pried open a back door of the home in the Ellenwood community. Police say they demanded money and jewelry. When the girl's mother said she didn't have any, one of the men shot and killed the family dog and took the girl.

Ayvani was last seen being taken from the home in a grey Dodge, police said.

She's described as 4 feet, 9 inches tall and 93 pounds.
