No one was injured when a pick-up truck struck a school bus in East Ridge this morning, officials say.
The school bus was stopped in traffic waiting on a red light when it was struck from behind around 8:30, East Ridge police said in a news release.
The accident happened at the intersection of Ringgold Road and McBrien Road.
Police said it was a minor collision with very minimal damage. At the time, the bus was transporting two special education students to Dawn School.
The driver of the pick-up truck was cited for failure to exercise due care and failure to display driver license, according to the release.
