DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - Police in Douglas County say an anonymous tip has led them to a teen accused in a fatal hit and run accident outside a police station.

Authorities have said Gary Latimer was released from a holding cell Sept. 17 and was hit by a car just minutes afterward.

Investigators say 18-year-old Tabitha Paige has been arrested in the crash. The woman used a teleconference to appear before a magistrate judge today and told authorities she didn't mean to hit Latimer. Paige said she was preoccupied with family issues at the time of the crash.

Police have said Paige's car was found in Alabama and she's being held without bond.

It's unclear if Paige has an attorney.
