The Cleveland Greenway monument pictured before the theft.The Cleveland Police Department is looking for the thief of a copper faceplate marking the beginning of the city's greenway at Willow Street.
The faceplate is valued at more than $700. Cleveland police say similar thefts are becoming more common because of the scrap value of copper.
If apprehended, the culprit will face felony theft and vandalism charges.
