Fire destroys one apartment unit, damages other unit in Dayton

DAYTON, Tenn. — Multiple agencies have been dispatched to a large apartment fire in Dayton.

The call came out just after 9 p.m. Tuesday. To the 1-hundred block of Armstrong Ferry Road. No injuries have been reported at this time. It took crews about an hour to get the blaze under control.

The complex has 6 units, one is a total loss, another has smoke damage, the other 4 are okay, and residents will return to them Tuesday night if the power is able to be restored.
