'La Bohème' next in Met: Live series - April 5 and April 9

Italian star tenor Vittorio Grigolo, left, is the passionate poet Rodolfo, and Romanian soprano Anita Hartig portrays his fragile lover, Mimì, in Franco Zeffirelli's production of Puccini's "La Bohème," the next presentation in The Met: Live in HD series. The live transmission premieres at 12:55 p.m. Saturday, April 5, with an encore at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at East Ridge 18, 5080 South Terrace, and Hamilton Place 8, 2000 Hamilton Place Blvd. Puccini's moving story of young love is the most performed opera in Met history. Featuring a cast of hundreds, a glorious onstage snow scene and a detailed reconstruction of the Latin Quarter in Paris, this broadcast marks 15 million viewers for the series, which now reaches 66 countries worldwide.
