about Clay Bennett...

The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

Oh boy!! I get to be first on this one.

I have only one thought, so far this day...

I'm glad he's not My Governor.

My Governor has done many wonderful things for the average citizens of our state over the past couple of years, and most likely, he'll receive my vote for a second term.

Good Morning Chattanoogans, welcome to the alprova message board, sponsored by the Times Free Press and loved by liberal tree huggers throughout the tri-state area. al, a used car salesman and professing "Christian" who believes Jesus Christ was not the Son of God but a mere mortal man like HIMSELF who would have driven an Edsel rather than a donkey if he had lived during the 50s, will be sharing his wisdom throughout the day.

Way to go Governor, use that fossil fuel energy, the man made global warming/climate change hypocrites do as well.

He probably asks for paper at Publix as well.

PT, the GOP Cheerleader. All you have to do is post a pro-"right" comment and Mr. Truth, the Renaissance Man, is easily amused.

More "Christian" thoughts from the ConMan. He probably dumps his used motor oil into the creek behind his backyard. Keep advocating "defiling the land" you hypocrite.

Gassy, no, not a GOP cheerleader. Just get tired of the constant bashing from the left. At least I take a side. You, however, remind me of a sniper. Hit and run. Not much on expressing your views, but big on blasting others. No?

Mr. Pulitzer, whomever you are, if you must resort to personal attacks, at least refrain from bearing false witness.

I have never stated that Jesus was not the Son of God. I have stated that he was mortal and quite human. The Bible, in fact, supports the fact that he was human.

I have gone on to state that Jesus was not God. Nothing Biblical supports the Trinity. And if it isn't in the Bible, don't ask anyone with a brain to believe it.

Jesus did die, did he not?

As a Christian, you do believe that your soul will be whisked away to Heaven after you take your last Earthly breath, don't you?

I have alternative beliefs as to what happens when we leave this life, but I wouldn't want to overwhelm your diminished capacity for meaningful thought.

As to the rest of your post, I was born in the 50's, know of no one who rode a donkey for their means of transport, and I would very much like to own an Edsel.

Their collectible and quite pricy these days.

I'm sure that I will have lots more to do today than to spend my day arguing with idiots.

I have a life.

Give me a break Truth. I have made it crystal clear where I stand on the majority of issues. I have also, on several occasions, thoroughly explained my rationale for my thinking on said issue. You, on the other hand, just insult the people that don't take your view with your one-liners. I may not agree with a person on an issue, but I don't necessarily admonish that person. You have made it apparent that you are only here to cheer the pro-right crowd and bash the people that take the other view. I can also tell you take great joy in back-and-fourths with Alprova.

Now back to the cartoon. I find it amusing that Haslam can't find the money to give the raises to teachers and state employees that he promised back in January, but he sure could find 300 million dollars to bribe VW. Whether you back unions or despise then, please attempt to justify Haslam's actions on those circumstances.

P.S. The last part of Joe's post (who believes Jesus Christ was not the Son of God but a mere mortal man like HIMSELF who would have driven an Edsel rather than a donkey if he had lived during the 50s), the post that you gave "5 stars", made zero sense.

I don't justify it Gassy. Don't really have an opinion. Yes, you are a sniper. Gun and run. You don't like my opinions, BFD. BTW, I have differed many times with so called "right wing" opinions on this forum. Can't seem to recall a lefty ever admitting that they are wrong about an issue. And another thang, I only take pot shots at one guy on a regular basis. That won't change. You, pal, are the contrarian. I shouldn't even be responding to you...what with you being the most educated mope on this forum. lol

Haslam has generally demonstrated the quality most politicians exhibit. A desire to do whatever he legally can to get re-elected. He stands for little else.

Why you insufferable git!

I’ve gotta say PlainTruth, your 10:47 a.m post tops most (if not all) of your other postings in plain unadulterated – highway billboard sized bullsh!t.

Quote: ”Don't really have an opinion. You don't like my opinions, BFD.” WTF!

Dude, you NEVER have opinions. Oh wait, yes you do. It is: “Your opinion is wrong – you’re a mope/idiot etc. - and so is Obama.” That’s it. You’re as deep a thinker as a sidewalk puddle.

The GaussianInteger (as well as everyone on this forum that has passed your 9th grade education level) has you pegged perfectly.

"You don't like my opinions, BFD."

Ditto Truth.

(MickeyRat has pointed out the contradictory nature of your latest post {you were out of your element having to post more than a couple of words, I understand}, so I am not going to harp on it.)

April 5, 2014 at 12:49 p.m.
PlainTruth said...

Harp away, both. SewerRat says I don't have opinions? Are you shizzing me? You mopes just don't like my brevity. One need not post Tolstoy length tomes to make a point. You creeps have been reading too much Alpo.. Why use 50 words when 500 will do? Right?

” SewerRat says I don't have opinions?” Au contraire fat boy. I believe I said, “Oh wait, yes you do. It is: Your opinion is wrong – you’re a mope/idiot etc. - and so is Obama.”

Brevity is fine, emptied of depth however, renders its attempts worthless.

I rest my case.
