A Dalton, Ga., man arrested in connection with a March 23 killing is out on bond, but other suspects remain jailed.

Ulesis Corona, 17, who Dalton police arrested on a false statements charge Tuesday, left the Whitfield County Jail on Thursday after paying a $5,000 bond. But Fernando Resendiz and Juvencio Vega-Garcia still are being held without bond.

Police said Corona, Resendiz and Vega-Garcia were with Orlando Ramirez when he allegedly killed one security guard and injured another outside Las Delicias, a bar at 511 E. Morris St. Vega-Garcia was with Ramirez during the shooting, according to police, and Resendiz was the getaway driver. Corona was in the car, too.

Resendiz and Vega-Garcia were scheduled for a bond hearing Friday morning, but the meeting was pushed back until next Friday because Vega-Garcia's attorney couldn't make it and Resendiz wants time to hire a lawyer. Ramirez also remains in jail without a bond, according to the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office website.

According to Dalton police, Ramirez allegedly shot the two security guards after they did not let the 20-year-old into the bar. However, police said they did not believe the shooting only was about getting into the bar.

One security guard survived, but 28-year-old Bruno Rodriguez died.

Police said that as Ramirez opened fire, Vega-Garcia ran away and hopped in a car driven by Resendiz. Ramirez later walked away from the scene, and Resendiz picked him up on East Morris Street.

Officers also charged Ramirez's girlfriend, Alexa Jiminez, with hindering the apprehension of a criminal and making false statements to law enforcement officers.
